A 2 day pitching session for input dealers took place at the Keta-Denu Onion enclave to increase awareness on high yielding seed varieties and other agro-inputs. The aim of the session is to link farmers within these enclave to the right production inputs to enhance production quality and fostering environmental sustainability.
The two day session hosted different Agri-Input companies who pitched the economic benefits of their product and services to onion farmers in the cluster. Some of the companies present were Tikola Ghana Limited, Rijk Zwaan, RMG and DMeter all of whom are providers of hybrid seeds and other agro inputs.
The meeting also discussed activity plan and timelines with core group and how to commence implementation of these activities.
The pitching session is in line with HortiFresh’s cluster development fund modality which focuses on improving geographical hotspots of mango, tomato, onion production which will jointly address problems of productivity and environmental sustainability.
