In the month of January, a delegation comprising the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, HortiFresh and Horticulture Association representatives presented a draft Memorandum for the proposed Horticulture Development Authority (HDA) to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Accra.

The proposed establishment of the authority is to help develop a formidable voice for actors in the horticulture industry. The submission of the draft memorandum is as a result of a stakeholder engagement process which engaged leaders of key horticulture value chains like pineapple, banana, yams, onions and tomatoes.
