GreenEf Company Ltd with support from HortiFresh has constructed composting bays in the Keta and Ketu South Municipalities for training in composting.

Field demonstrations to train onion farmers on best methodologies to prepare compost for their farmlands are underway.

The training included compost making, innovative approaches to reduce post-harvest losses, pest and diseases control.

Furthermore, the project will identify and train other interested individuals/entrepreneurs on the maintenance and management of the organic matter/compost site (depot) to create livelihoods for communities. A sustainability plan will be developed for beneficiaries to use as a tool to manage the depot after the end of HortiFresh support.
