D.Invitro Labs Ghana Ltd. is a leading plant tissue culture laboratory in West Africa, located at Sogakope, about 1½ hour drive from the capital Accra, Ghana.
D.Invitro Labs Ghana started propagating plants ten years ago in the Volta Region as one of the operating companies of SBW BV, a Dutch international group with extensive experience in production as well as research since 1976 and subsidiaries in different parts of the world.
D.Invitro Labs Ghana incorporates her ten years of West African experience with specific climatic conditions and completes the portfolio of her partner companies. The Lab works closely together with reputable research institutes such as Iribov BV in the Netherlands. (www.iribov.com ) Total output of the group in terms of propagated plantlets easily surpasses 20 million yearly, covering more than 400 crops and over 3000 varieties.
We propagate plants for horticultural customers in West Africa, Europe and the United States and parties in the food industry in Ghana. We can offer large-scale propagation in gerberas, bromeliads and lilies, orchids and other ornamental crops, African cash crops as pineapple, plantain, banana and ginger amongst others. We are only working to order, not carrying out any breeding or trading activities on our own. Our customers retain all rights to all plants produced on their hybrid or mutation sent to us, for an agreed upon period of time, or indefinitely as they wish.
A dedicated and professional staff of 100 persons in Sogakope works daily within optimal environmental conditions enabling this type of highly specialized activities. Cleanliness and tidiness are part of our clean room management practices. Airflow quality control, humidity and temperature control are daily routine. All to assure a contamination free working environment for the laboratory. D.Invitro Labs Ghana Ltd. is a Free Zone company, giving us the flexibility of importing critical ingredients and equipment from abroad, staying in line with the latest technological developments against reasonable cost.
The cost price for the services delivered vary per order and depend on the quantities requested, the specificity of that particular variety and the multiplication factor to be reached in our laboratory. For new varieties final cost pricing will be determined after the first production trials have been carried out in our laboratory.
