May 15, 2020AP Oak Limited with support from HortiFresh is implementing the Youth-in-Agribusiness Incubator Project (YiA). This horticulture module is to demonstrate the economic and employment potential of the horticulture value chain to young persons, particularly students and graduates from the nation’s tertiary institutions.
As part of project activities, the company organised a 3-day virtual seminar on “Enterprise Start-Up and Management” with the aim of training participants to understand the core principles of a successful start-up and management of agribusiness enterprises.
The 3 day program was scheduled under different topics handled by industry experts. Among topics discussed are; the set-up and management of agribusiness enterprises, development of vision and strategy for businesses, principles of the lean enterprise start-up and its legal forms, creativity and innovation to increase brand visibility, technology in managing lean enterprises as well as the principles of effective communication skills to achieve business success.
The seminar was organised through Zoom as a result of the recent development of Covid-19 and recorded about 557 viewers with interactive sessions with questions and answers.
