Le plus grand Festival de la Noix de Coco aura lieu au Ghana du 24 au 26 septembre 2019 au Centre International de Conférences d’Accra (Accra International Conference Centre) sous ce thème: Promouvoir la diversification des exportations grâce à une industrie ghanéenne robuste de la noix de coco. Le Festival International de la Noix de Coco – Ghana, promet d’être le plus grand et le plus captivant festival jamais organisé au Ghana et dans la sous-région. Ce festival réunira des acteurs divergents et imposants de l’industrie de la noix de coco du monde entier, entre autres du Canada, de la Chine et de l’Asie du Sud-Est, de l’Afrique et du Moyen-Orient au Ghana. Cela créera potentiellement un grand trafic – un big bang – avec un dossier d’investisseurs, de scientifiques et de chercheurs dans le domaine du cocotier qui devrait affluer le Ghana pour cette première événement.
Le festival sera lancé à l’hôtel La Palm Royal Beach le 18 juin à 10h00.
Le but du festival:
L’objectif de cet événement le plus attendu est de fournir une plateforme pour connecter et servir la communauté ghanéenne et d’autres participants internationaux à travers le développement et la promotion de la noix de coco. Les festivals mettront principalement en valeur les différentes caractéristiques du cocotier, de la racine à la feuille.

Il est intéressant de noter que le Canada Coconut Festival and Superfoods Expo, un partenaire étranger majeur et le pivot de la première édition du premier Festival international de la noix de coco au Ghana, a réorienté cette année un événement annuel de dix ans au Canada afin de déplacer toute son équipe, ses investisseurs, ses chercheurs et ses scientifiques au Ghana pour organiser avec nous un événement de premier plan. Essentiellement, ce festival va provoquer un mouvement international important en déplaçant le monde sur le territoire ghanéen et en publiant le secteur de la noix de coco du Ghana dans le monde entier.
Pourquoi le Festival international de la noix de coco au Ghana?
Rappelons que le Président de la République du Ghana, S.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, le Ministre de l’Alimentation et de l’Agriculture, Honorable Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto, le Ministre du Gouvernement local et du Développement rural, Hon Hajia Alima Mahama, ont procédé le 24 avril 2019, à Dunkwa on-Offin, Région Centrale du Ghana, à la mise en place du Programme des Semences pour le développement rural et d’exportation (PERD). Le programme PERD fait de la noix de coco l’une des six cultures arboricoles dont le ministère de l’Agriculture fait la promotion.
Par la suite, dans le cadre de l’unité de soutien aux entreprises des piliers stratégiques du PERD, le Africa Coconut Group, une entité du secteur privé a chargé le Ministère des affaires étrangères d’organiser le premier festival international du cocotier au Ghana et d’utiliser cette plate-forme pour promouvoir et relier tous les acteurs locaux afin de leur donner accès au marché international. Cet événement servira de grande plate-forme pour faciliter et promouvoir le développement rapide de la noix de coco dans le cadre du programme PERD.
Activités à l’occasion du Festival de la noix de coco:
Le festival sera marqué par un certain nombre d’activités, y compris, mais sans s’y limiter:
Invitation à participer aux activités primées
Une invitation spéciale sera remise à tous les jeunes et moins jeunes talentueux pour participer aux activités suivantes afin de gagner divers prix, y compris des smartphones, des plaques, des certificats, etc.
1. Cérémonie de remise des prix du Concours de photographie et de peinture sur la noix de coco au Ghana
2. Cérémonie de remise de prix pour le concours de littérature sur la noix de coco au Ghana par des étudiants universitaires.
3. Concert spécial de chansons sur la noix de coco (création d’une chanson sur le thème du Festival de la noix de coco), etc.
L’événement est organisé par le Groupe africain de la noix de coco en collaboration avec le Ministère de l’alimentation et de l’agriculture, le Ministère des collectivités locales et du développement rural, le PERD et le Ministère du tourisme, des arts et de la culture. Il est soutenu par la Ghana Free Zones Authority (L’Autorité des Zones Franches du Ghana), le Ghana Investment Promotion Council (Le conseil de promotion de l’Investissement du Ghana) (GIPC) et la Ghana Export Promotion Authority (L’Autorité de Promotion des exportations du Ghana) (GEPA). Interestingly, the Canada Coconut Festival and Superfoods Expo; a major foreign partner and kingpin in the maiden edition of the first International Coconut Festival – Ghana have redirected a decade-old-annual-event in Canada this year in order to move their entire crew, investors, researchers and scientist to Ghana to organize a mammoth event with us. Essentially, this festival is going to cause a momentous international movement by moving the world to Ghana and publishing the coconut sector of Ghana to the entire world.
Why International Coconut Festival – Ghana?

This event will serve as a big platform to facilitate and promotion the rapid development of coconut under the PERD programme.
