HortiFresh has begun activities in the mango cluster in Cote d’Ivoire to improve agronomic practices within the value chain. Activities undertaken included; formation of pruning and spraying gang members in four communities; Boundiali, Korhogo, Ferke and Tasire who will be responsible for mango orchard management in these communities. Each community will have a demonstration farm to demonstrate good agronomic practices for farmer learning and dedicated pruning and spraying gang members.

As part of activities, farmers were linked to input dealers to demonstrate the performance and use of improved seeds, chemicals and application of right pesticides and insecticides.
